Prakash Muthkrishnan
Prakash Muthukrishnan is Chief Information Officer for Purchasing Power, LLC, a position he has held since 2014. He joined the company in 2012 to assume responsibility for defining the company’s technology strategy, leading all IT efforts in executing strategic business initiatives, building the company’s e-commerce website and managing IT operations. Within the last two years, Muthukrishnan also is credited for developing Purchasing Power’s award-winning mobile app, a retail project that now accounts for more than 50% of gross customer sales. Prior to Purchasing Power, Muthukrishnan worked in a managerial capacity for a variety of companies, including Manhattan Associates and Blockbuster, Inc. At each assignment, he demonstrated a strong background in supply chain, e-commerce and retail technologies, as well as a solid vision for IT solutions.
Muthukrishnan received his bachelor of science degree in computer science from the College of Engineering at Guindy, India. He additionally earned his master of science degree in computer science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Muthukrishnan is based in Atlanta, reporting directly to Richard Carrano, president and chief executive officer for Purchasing Power, LLC.
