In spy and Sci-Fi movies, the characters use interactive 3D simulations to save the world from villains. Margaret Martin, CEO of C2N develops 3D interactive applications to address time-wasting villains we encounter everyday: the hassle of assembling a piece of furniture with little to no written instructions, fixing a vending machine or the challenge of picking out the faucet that would best match the bathroom sink and avoid the inconvenience of a return.
C2N creates an Augmented Reality (AR) platform called Alchemy that operates with mobile phones and tablets. These 3D applications allow employees and customers to virtually interact with products. The software takes data from the front- and rear-facing cameras on the mobile device and combines it with the 3D modeling software and other data in the cloud to create a 3D blend between the physical space and the product.
